Calculus Limits: Introduction and Limits Laws


Definition of a Limit:


A limit is formally defined as follows: Let limits in math function f be a function defined on an open interval containing math set of all complex numbers C (except possibly at maths set of all complex numbers C ) and let L be a real number.


math limit of the function f is L     ,  means that for each real for every epsilon greater than zero    there exists a real delta greater than zero such that for all  x where math double inequality:modulus of (x-c) between 0 and delta , math inequality:modulus of (f(x)-L) less than epsilon.
